n 2011, the Likarish brothers took a leap of faith. Robert was finishing his law degree, and Jonathan was working as a biomedical engineer when they decided to leave caution behind and pursue distilling instead. Over the next few years, they traveled the country, apprenticing under some of the industry’s brightest minds, until they finally put down roots in Denison, Texas, opening Ironroot Republic Distillery.

The Ironroot Republic 2 Years Old is a bourbon whiskey made with Bloody Butcher corn, a unique heirloom red corn variety. This whiskey has been aged for at least 2 years in new charred American oak barrels (Char 1) before being bottled at cask strength (56.9% ABV), non-chill filtered, and at its natural color, with only 242 bottles available.
