Independent Bottlers

A product for enthusiasts. Independent bottlers buy casks directly from the distilleries and then oversee their maturation in their own warehouses, deciding for themselves when to stop the ageing and how to present the spirit. The result can be very different from official bottlings: unconventional ages and profiles, individually selected woods, unusual finishes.

The great merit of these whiskies is their authenticity. In most cases they are cask strength bottlings, non-chill filtered and with no added colouring, presenting the spirit exactly as it comes out of the cask. They may come from a single cask, in just a few hundred numbered bottles, or from a small vatting of a handful of casks: in either case, these are limited and unrepeatable releases.
