Founded in 1828 in the heart of Campbeltown, once the “whisky capital of the world,” Springbank Distillery is one of the few still family-run in Scotland and the only one to carry out every stage of production in-house: from malting the barley to bottling. The Springbank 1998 Vintage 26 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1998 and matured for around 26 years exclusively in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, before being bottled in May 2025 at its natural strength of 48.3% ABV, unchillfiltered and with no added colour, in a total of just 1,500 bottles.

Color: Antique amber.
Aroma: Rich and harmonious on the nose, with notes of resin and an old library, alongside dates, plums, caramel, malt, and honey, accented by hints of seasoned oak, citrus peel, and a delicate saline note.
Palate: Full-bodied, oily, and elegant, with flavours of vanilla, plum jam, dates, cloves, candied ginger, dark chocolate, and toasted nuts, balanced by a touch of sea salt.
Finish: Medium to long, with notes of salted caramel, cloves, dark chocolate, spiced oak, and aged leather.
