Trinidad Distillers Limited (TDL) produces the wide range of Fernandes and Angostura rums. The distillation facility uses a multi-column continuous still, built in the late 1940s, originally to produce rum solely for aromatic bitters.
The Trinidad 12 Years Old is a molasses-based rum distilled in Trinidad and aged in both tropical and continental climates. It matured for 11 years in American ex-bourbon barrels, followed by 12 months in ex-sherry casks. This rum was bottled at its natural strength of 53.4% ABV with no added coloring.
