Eigashima Shuzo Distillery, also known as White Oak Distillery, is one of Japan’s oldest family-run distilleries, with a long tradition of producing alcoholic beverages. Founded in 1679, the company originally specialized in sake and shochu before expanding into whisky production.
The Akashi Sherry Cask Finishis a blended whisky composed of 30% single malt distilled at Eigashima and the remainder from single grain whisky. The whiskies in this blend were initially aged in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a six-month finishing period in ex-sherry casks. This blended whisky was finally bottled at 40% ABV.

Color: Bright amber.
Aroma: A delicate yet pleasant aromatic profile, with sweet notes of vanilla and ripe peach. Light hints of dried apricot and orange zest, with a subtle touch of aromatic wood.
Taste: On the palate, it reveals a smooth character, balancing sweetness and spice. Dark fruit and honey blend with light woody nuances, while subtle sherry notes emerge.
Finish: Short-lived, with woody notes becoming more prominent and intertwining with a faint hint of sherry. A slight bitterness from the wood contrasts with the initial sweetness, leaving a dry finish.
