Finlaggan is a single malt produced by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, which sources barrels from a mysterious Islay distillery and bottles them under its own label. The name Finlaggan is well known on Islay, as it refers to a fascinating historical site where the castle of the Lords of the Isles once stood.
The Finlaggan Red Wine Cask Matured is a no-age-statement single malt Scotch whisky aged exclusively in ex-Rioja red wine hogshead casks from Spain’s Basque region. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, with a total release of 7,000 bottles.
