Founded in 1967 in the heart of Speyside, GlenAllachie is today one of Scotland’s most respected independent distilleries. Since 2017 it has been led by Billy Walker, who has given the distillery a clear identity: meticulous attention to wood, small batches, direct control over every stage of production, and a continuous exploration of cask potential. The result is a recognisable style that has made GlenAllachie a benchmark for enthusiasts.
The name “Sintesis”, which in Gaelic means synthesis, reflects exactly the goal of the series: to unite opposing characters to create a whisky that is complex, rich, and deeply contemporary.
The GlenAllachie Sintesis Part I is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2014 and matured through the meeting of two worlds: Missouri Chinquapin virgin oak casks, known for their spicy and robust imprint, and first-fill Pedro Ximénez puncheons, which contribute richness, dark fruit, and sweetness. Bottled in 2025 at 57.8% ABV, unchill-filtered and with no added colouring, preserving all the natural intensity of the spirit. It is an expression that highlights the power of wood and aromatic depth, fully representing the distillery’s experimental and innovative approach.
