The name Glendalough comes from the Celtic "Valley of the Two Lakes," one of Ireland’s most beautiful valleys, once home to a Catholic monastery.
The Glendalough Single Grain Double Barrel Whiskey is the first Irish single grain whiskey (made exclusively from corn) from an Irish craft distillery to be aged in both ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Distilled in Coffey stills, it spends three and a half years in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished for six months in Oloroso sherry casks. The bourbon imparts notes of chocolate and caramel, while the Oloroso casks lighten the palate with fruity tones and hints of hazelnut.
