Located in the Northern Highlands, the Invergordon distillery was built in 1959 primarily to supply grain whisky for blends. Official releases from the distillery are rare—one of the few was a 10‑year‑old called The Invergordon released in the early 1990s. The current owner of the distillery is White & Mackay.
The Invergordon 15 Years Old is a single grain Scotch whisky distilled in 2009 and aged for around 12 years in ex‑bourbon casks before undergoing a second maturation of 3 years in first‑fill casks that previously held heavily peated whisky from Caol Ila. It was finally bottled at 49.5% ABV, non‑chill‑filtered and at its natural color, with a total outturn of 811 bottles.

Color: Bright gold.
Aroma: Immediate notes of honey and oats, with a streak of smoky vanilla and a breath of fresh grass. A hint of lemon zest adds liveliness, while a soft herbal creaminess ties it all together.
Taste: On the palate, baked apples and cloves emerge, joined by a touch of candied dried fruit. The smoke is subtle, like windblown burnt grass, adding character without overpowering the sweetness.
Finish: Long and persistent, with sweet, oily peat wrapping the palate, leading to a memory of caramelized nuts and a trail of smoky vanilla.
