The Jim Beam Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is made with a mashbill containing 77% corn, 15% rye, and 10% malted barley. This single barrel is the primary bourbon used in the famous Jim Beam White & Black labels. The difference lies in the fact that the individual barrel for this product was hand-selected by Fred Noe, Jim Beam’s Master Distiller, and represents less than 1% of the distillery’s total production. This American bourbon is aged in new charred American oak barrels and bottled without an age statement at 47.5% ABV (95 proof).
