The combination of Laphroaig and sherry is extraordinarily effective and represents a true cult in the indie market, to the point of driving collectors wild. Currently, independent (Indie) Laphroaig is quite expensive, but if it has been aged or even just finished in sherry casks, the price can easily increase by 20-50% or more compared to a bottle from an ex-Bourbon cask.
The Laphroaig 10 Years Old Sherry Oak Finish is a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky, initially aged in classic ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for several months in ex-Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled at 48% vol. without chill filtration and at its natural colour.
