There is little left to say about Talisker and its distillery – a product and brand now renowned worldwide, just like the Isle of Skye where it is produced. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Skye, one of Scotland’s most visited islands, is home to such an outstanding whisky.
The Talisker Distillers Edition – Special Release 2024 is a peated single malt Scotch whisky distilled on the Isle of Skye. It matures for around 10 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a secondary maturation in ex-Amoroso sherry casks. Bottled in 2024 at the distillery’s signature strength of 45.8% ABV, this whisky combines maritime power with sherry sweetness.

Color: Light amber.
Nose: Classic Talisker peat smoke, bonfire embers and seaweed, enriched by citrus, coffee and banana notes.
Palate: Sweet on entry with vanilla, followed by fruit notes of pineapple and ripe red apple. Then comes the sea and the peat – winter beach smoke and bonfire drift.
Finish: Good length, with lingering peat, sea salt, coastal notes and dried fruit.
