Smoketrails is a series of Ardbeg single malts available exclusively at duty-free stores and at the distillery’s visitor center.
Each edition, released annually in small batches, combines classic Ardbeg matured in American oak casks with a more unconventional Ardbeg aged in casks from different parts of the world. The second release, Ardbeg Smoketrails Côte Rôtie Edition, unites whisky matured in American oak casks with whisky aged in red wine casks from southern France.
The Ardbeg Smoketrails – Côte Rôtie Edition is a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky aged in a mix of American oak and French Côte Rôtie red wine casks, then bottled at 46% ABV, unchill-filtered and at natural color.
