Although the family‑owned Berry Bros. & Rudd is best known as one of London’s oldest wine and spirits merchants, the company is also very active in the whisky world. Under its own label, it has released several independent bottlings over the years, and in the past BB&R was one of the most prestigious blended whisky producers — the famous Cutty Sark was in fact created by Berry Bros. & Rudd (today owned by the Edrington Group).
The Berry Bros. & Rudd Islay Cask Classic Range is a blended Scotch whisky made from a mix of peated Scottish single malts sourced exclusively from distilleries on the island of Islay. This blend is a carefully selected combination of casks from some of Islay’s most iconic distilleries, such as Caol Ila and Bunnahabhain.

Color: Pale straw.
Aroma: On the nose it opens exactly as you’d expect from an Islay whisky — peat greets you and wraps you in campfire smoke, iodine, and charcoal, with notes of custard and toasted oak.
Taste: Medium‑bodied on the palate, with a pleasant oiliness, featuring citrus notes, vanilla, green grass, and mineral hints, with the smoky peat ever‑present.
Finish: Long‑lasting, with notes of summer campfire smoke, cane sugar, vanilla, and citrus.
