Braeval (formerly known as Braes of Glenlivet) is a Speyside distillery built in 1973 and owned by Pernod Ricard. It produces a light, floral and slightly sweet style of spirit, but is rarely bottled as an official single malt, so most expressions on the market come from independent bottlers. With the Spirit of Scotland series, Gordon & MacPhail offers selections of young single malts from various distilleries at full strength, to showcase the character of the distillate.
The Braeval 9 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2016 and bottled in January 2026 after maturation in a single Refill ex-bourbon Barrel. It is presented in the Spirit of Scotland series at full strength (60.5% vol.), non-chill filtered and at its natural colour, in a total of 239 bottles.
