Founded in 1881 in the northeastern part of the Isle of Islay, Bunnahabhain stands out from other distilleries on the island for its robust, maritime whiskies with a very light touch of peat.
The Bunnahabhain 12 Years Old was first launched in 1979, almost 40 years ago, and is a lightly peated Single Malt Scotch whisky aged in a combination of ex-sherry, ex-bourbon, and selected refill casks to create the perfect balance between its robust, maritime character and the citrus notes typical of Islay distilleries.
