Visiting Daftmill feels like stepping back in time. Yes, the equipment is modern, but the approach is centuries old. This is likely the only true farm distillery left in Scotland — a farm with an agricultural production first, and then a distillery, not the other way around. A common setup in the 18th century, but now a rare exception.
The Daftmill 15 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled using Chariot barley harvested in 2004 and distilled in 2006. It was matured for 15 years exclusively in 28 first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at cask strength (55.7% ABV), with no added coloring and non-chill filtered.
