Founded in 1836 and still owned by the Grant family today, Glenfarclas Distillery is one of the few fully independent Scottish distilleries remaining in the whisky landscape. Located in the heart of Speyside, it is historically renowned for producing single malts matured in ex-sherry casks, a defining element that has shaped the house style.
Glenfarclas still uses traditional direct-fired stills, an increasingly rare practice that contributes to the creation of rich and structured distillates. Maturation takes place in classic dunnage warehouses, where time and wood play a fundamental role in the aromatic development of the whiskies.
The Glenfarclas 11 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky aged for at least 11 years exclusively in ex-sherry Oloroso casks, before being bottled at a classic 46% vol., without chill filtration and at its natural colour.
