Opened in 2018 and located on the Seto Inland Sea in the Hiroshima region, the Sakurao Distillery produces both single malt and blended whiskies, aged in on-site warehouses. For the Togouchi range, however, the whisky casks are matured inside a former railway tunnel carved beneath a small mountain range.
The Togouchi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt whisky, aged without an age statement in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks before being bottled at a classic 43% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural color.
