Aberlour is a historic Speyside distillery founded in 1879 by James Fleming. The distillery is located near the village of Aberlour, at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour, from which it takes its name.
The Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited series is dedicated to small selections of single malts with particular maturations from individual Scottish distilleries. Just like this Aberlour, which, unlike almost all of the distillery’s production, does not undergo any maturation in ex-sherry casks.
The Aberlour 11 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2011 and matured for 11 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before being bottled in 2023 at 47.5% vol., without chill filtration and without added colouring, in a total of 1,245 bottles.

Color: Pale gold.
Nose: The nose opens with green apple and fresh pear, followed by citrus peel. Then vanilla, biscuit and barley emerge, along with a light woody spiciness typical of first-fill ex-bourbon cask maturation.
Palate: The entry is clean, with notes of white-fleshed fruit to the fore. The sweetness of vanilla and soft caramel accompanies notes of cereals and a hint of cinnamon.
Finish: Medium in length, slightly dry, with notes of citrus, vanilla and oak, and a light touch of black pepper.
