The Aberlour A’Bunadh series is made up of single malts from small batches, matured exclusively in casks that previously held Oloroso sherry and bottled at cask strength. Batch #81 continues this tradition: a single malt Scotch whisky with a strongly sherried profile, bottled at 61.6% vol. and not chill-filtered.

Color: Amber with red highlights.
Nose: Full and rich, with notes of sherry, dried fruit, soft toffee and caramel, with a light hint of crème brûlée. With the addition of water it becomes more approachable, revealing notes of toffee and raisins.
Palate: Sweet, with bold notes of caramel, dark chocolate and toffee. A little water slightly tempers the sweetness and brings out notes of sultanas and a light hint of cherries.
Finish: Medium in length, dry, with notes of soft toffee and dried fruit.
