The Balblair Distillery is located in the northern Highlands of Scotland, near the village of Edderton overlooking the Dornoch Firth. Founded in 1790, it is one of Scotland’s oldest legally operating distilleries. Balblair is renowned for its clean, fruity and refined spirit, produced using tall-neck stills that encourage lightness and elegance, making it particularly well suited to ex-bourbon maturation.
The Balblair 16 Years Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky matured for 16 years in a single ex-bourbon hogshead, carefully selected by independent bottler Chorlton Whisky. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.8% ABV, with no added colouring and no chill-filtration, this limited release comprises just 271 bottles.
