Normally, the whisky produced by the Clynelish distillery is entirely used by Diageo for its blends—Clynelish, for instance, is a cornerstone of Johnnie Walker Gold Label. Until recently, the only way to taste this whisky was through independent bottlers. Fortunately, Diageo decided to dedicate part of the distillery's production to a single official bottling, this 14-year-old expression.

Color: Golden grain.
Aroma: Very fruity and slightly peated with notes of citrus and red grapes.
Palate: Light, subtle, and smooth, with hints of peat and notes of vanilla, caramel, and leather.
Finish: Quite long with a maritime and salty note and a bittersweet aftertaste.
