The Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming in the Speyside region of Scotland. Today owned by the Pernod Ricard group (Chivas Brothers), the distillery is one of the most respected in Speyside and is renowned for the quality of its single malts, which are often characterised by a fine balance between fruit, sweetness and spice. The Double Cask Matured range was created specifically to highlight the harmony between the two cask types most commonly used in Scotch whisky maturation.
The Aberlour 13 Years Old Double Cask Matured is a 13-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in a combination of American ex-bourbon oak casks and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 40% vol., it is a Travel Retail exclusive.
