The distillery is a small gem of Speyside. Built in 1967 and designed by the famous distillery architect Delmé-Evans, it came under the ownership of The GlenAllachie Distillers Co. in 2017, led by Billy Walker. Under the new ownership, the brand has begun to establish itself as a cult favourite among enthusiasts, thanks to Billy’s expertise and the consistently high quality of the releases.
The GlenAllachie 10 Years Old Cask Strength, here in its eleventh edition (batch number 11), is a single malt Scotch whisky aged for at least 10 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez ex-sherry casks, Oloroso ex-sherry casks, and a small portion in ex-red wine casks. It is then bottled at its natural strength (59.4% ABV), with no added colouring and unchill-filtered.
