Widow Jane Distillery is a craft producer based in Red Hook, Brooklyn (New York). It takes its name from the Widow Jane Mine, a 19th-century limestone mine located in Rosendale, New York, from which they source the mineral-rich water used to dilute their whiskies. The brand is known for using heirloom corn varieties and for an approach that blends American tradition with a New York spirit. The “Baby Jane” variety is a proprietary heirloom corn (a hybrid of Wapsie Valley and Bloody Butcher) grown specifically for the distillery.
The Widow Jane Baby Jane is a small batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey made with an 80% heirloom corn, 10% rye and 10% malted barley mash bill. Aged for at least 4 years, it is bottled at 45.5% vol. (91 proof). It is a fresh, aromatic and approachable bourbon with a lovely sweet corn character and fruity notes.

Color: Light gold with amber reflections.
Nose: Sweet and inviting. Notes of fresh corn, caramel, vanilla, honeycomb, custard and a touch of white grape and peach.
Palate: Soft and round, with salted caramel, custard, dried fruit (fig and apricot), delicate spices (Jamaican pepper and star anise) and a pleasant return of sweet corn.
Finish: Medium length, with notes of milk chocolate, caramel and a gentle spicy warmth that fades softly.
