Founded in 1779 by David Simpson, Bowmore is the oldest distillery still operating on the Isle of Islay. Selected here by Cadenhead’s, Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, founded in Aberdeen in 1842 and now based in Campbeltown.
The Original Collection is the historic line of the house: whiskies presented at 46% vol., without chill filtration and without colouring, with essential labels that let the distillate speak for itself. A choice that over the years has made the series a reference point for those seeking the character of the distillery without intermediaries.
The Bowmore 10 Years Old Cadenhead’s is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, aged for at least 10 years entirely in ex-bourbon barrels, before being bottled on 15 May 2026 at 46% vol. without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring.

Color: Pale gold.
Nose: Opens immediately on tropical fruit, with ripe mango, papaya and a touch of grapefruit, then the maritime side arrives with salinity and nori seaweed. Candle wax, toasted peanut and grilled pineapple also emerge, with a cinnamon background.
Palate: The entry is citrusy, with notes of grapefruit and then the full range of lemon: salted, grilled, zest, up to a sweet note reminiscent of limoncello. The smoke remains gentle and coastal, accompanied by a nice salinity, white pepper and a return of tropical fruit.
Finish: Of good persistence, with the light peat accompanying the tropical fruit all the way, and a briny close.
