The Bowmore 11 Years Old is a peated single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by North Star Spirits as part of the celebratory series for the tenth anniversary of the bottler. The spirit comes from the historic Bowmore distillery, founded in 1779 and the first legal distillery on the Isle of Islay, renowned for its coastal style that combines delicate peat, marine salinity and citrus.
Distilled in February 2015 and bottled in March 2026, this whisky was matured for approximately 11 years in a refill ex-bourbon barrel and then received a subsequent 6-week finish in ex-Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry octaves. The very small size of octave casks intensifies and accelerates the interaction with the wood, allowing the dark richness of the PX to integrate deeply without overpowering the character of the spirit. It is bottled at natural cask strength (56.1% vol.), without chill filtration and at its natural colour, in a limited edition of only 180 bottles.

Color: Antique gold with amber reflections.
Nose: Evocative, intertwining smoke and fruit: half-extinguished cigar and a note of leather armchair, on a base of dried fruit, citrus zest and a hint of green apple.
Palate: Oily and intense, opens with liquorice and hard aniseed candies, then smoked lemon zest, smoky fruit and a tropical sweetness balanced by Bowmore’s peat and maritime soul.
Finish: Long, salty and peppery, with a slice of ginger lemon and a trail of smoke that cuts cleanly through the sherry sweetness.
