The Italian Cities single cask series, released by Kilchoman throughout the year, is dedicated to Italy’s major cities. The third edition — following Milan and Rome — honors Florence, easily recognized by the lily emblem depicted on the label.
The Kilchoman 100% Islay Single Cask Italian Cities Florence is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, distilled using only barley grown on the distillery’s own farms and malted on-site to around 20ppm. It was distilled on August 16, 2016, and matured for about nine years in a single ex-bourbon cask. Finally, it was bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.5% ABV, unchill-filtered and at natural color, in a total of 247 bottles.

Color: Antique gold.
Aroma: Notes of vanilla and caramel emerge first, followed by maritime peat smoke and iodine, then hints of yellow fruit and malt sweetness.
Taste: On the palate, vanilla, honey, and ginger combine with light floral tones, while the coastal peat smoke remains a steady companion throughout.
Finish: Long, with notes of candied orange, honey, black pepper, and buttery vanilla biscuits — all perfectly integrated with a beautiful, lingering peat smoke.
