The Mortlach distillery is located in Dufftown, in the heart of the Speyside region, and is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, founded in 1823. Mortlach is famous for its robust and complex character, often described as the “Beast of Dufftown”, achieved in part thanks to its unique and intricate distillation process.
The Signatory 100 Proof series features single malts bottled at 57.1% vol., the historic British strength, without chill filtration and with maturations designed to deliver bold, authentic whisky profiles.
The Mortlach 12 Years Old 100 Proof is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2013 and matured for at least 12 years in second-fill ex-sherry Oloroso butts, before being bottled on 23 July 2025 at 57.1% vol. (100 proof), without added colour and without chill filtration.
