Strathmill distillery is located in the heart of Speyside, near Rothes. Founded in 1891, it was originally built—and still operates—as a “malt house” producing whisky destined for prestigious blends. Throughout its history it has experienced periods of inactivity and various modifications, but it is still recognised today for its elegant and subtle malt-driven profile, a key component of many Scotch blended whiskies.
The 100 Proof series by Signatory features single malts bottled at 57.1% vol., the historic British proof strength, without chill filtration and with maturations designed to offer whiskies with a bold and authentic profile.
The Strathmill 12 Years Old 100 Proof is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2012 and matured for at least 12 years exclusively in first-fill ex-sherry Oloroso butts, before being bottled on 24 February 2025 at 57.1% vol. (100 proof), without added colour and without chill filtration.

Colour: Deep amber.
Aroma: On the nose it opens with fruity notes, with apple and pear accompanied by a honeyed sweetness. Soft spices follow, particularly cinnamon, along with dark chocolate notes. In the background emerge orange peel, ripe citrus fruits and a light component of dried fruit and cereals.
Taste: On the palate notes of ripe fruit return, then plum, with a sweetness reminiscent of spiced toffee. The profile remains balanced, with notes of honey and citrus, with hints of toasted dried fruit.
Finale: The finish is warm, with sherry-derived sweetness accompanying light spices and returning citrus notes. Spiced oak notes persist.
