Caol Ila distillery is located on the north-eastern coast of the island of Islay, overlooking the strait that separates Islay from Jura. Founded in 1846, it is the largest distillery on the island by production and is known for its clearly defined peated style, with distinctive smoky notes that often lean towards brine.
The Caol Ila 18 Years Old is a peated single malt Scotch whisky aged for 18 years in a single ex-bourbon hogshead cask. It was bottled by Chorlton Whisky at its natural strength of 50.7% vol., without added colouring and without chill filtration. This release totals 276 bottles.
