From the most iconic distillery on the island of Islay comes a vibrant and peated single malt Scotch whisky. Caol Ila is renowned for its smoky, peated whiskies, and this one takes those qualities to the next level.
The Caol Ila 8 Years Old Claxton’s Single Cask is a whisky distilled on the island of Islay on May 9th, 2016. It rested for about 7 years in a refill ex-bourbon hogshead before being finished for several months in a first-fill ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask. Bottled in 2024 at cask strength (55.6% ABV), with no added colouring and non-chill filtered, only 72 bottles produced.
