Tobermory is the only distillery on the Isle of Mull and one of the oldest still in operation. Founded in 1798, it boasts over two centuries of history and is currently experiencing perhaps its finest era, thanks to the quality of its single malts—both in the peated version, released under the name Ledaig, and the unpeated version, which carries the Tobermory name.
The Tobermory 13 Years Old by Claxton’s is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled on December 7, 2010, and aged in a single ex-bourbon hogshead for about 12 years before being finished for several months in a former rum barrel. This whisky was bottled at cask strength (50.5% ABV), with no added colouring and non-chill filtered, in a total of 284 bottles.

Color: Golden amber.
Nose: Juicy and slightly coastal on the nose, with notes of raisins and spices followed by green apple and a gentle sea breeze.
Palate: On the palate, it has good balance, notes of malted barley, honey, and red fruits blend with hints of hazelnut, milk chocolate, apples, and peaches.
Finish: Medium to short in length but delicious, with notes of chocolate, honey, lightly salted caramel, raisins, and a faint hint of mint.
