Founded in 1825 in Fort William at the foot of the mountain of the same name, the Ben Nevis distillery produces single malts with a robust character, often a little “dirty” or funky, especially in the younger expressions. Today the distillery is owned by the well-known Japanese company Nikka Whisky.
This Ben Nevis 10 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 for the Signatory 100 Proof series (Edition #63). It was matured exclusively in ex-sherry casks, in a mix of first-fill Pedro Ximénez and second-fill Oloroso sherry butts, before being bottled at 57.1% vol., non-chill filtered and at its natural colour.
