This blended malt is born from the union of single malts from two famous distilleries on the Isle of Islay, Bowmore and Bruichladdich, assembled by North Star Spirits to bring to life a dram that tells the peated and maritime soul of the island.
The Islay Connection 10 Years Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and refill ex-sherry casks, which balance the smoke with a malted sweetness and a fruity note. It is bottled at 50.4% vol., without chill filtration and at its natural colour.

Color: Straw gold.
Nose: Peat smoke and coastal salinity, with toasted cereals, salted butter and a malted base that gradually becomes sweeter.
Palate: Full and oily, with spiced grilled meat and saline notes, while with a few drops of water hints of pineapple and mango emerge.
Finish: Smoky and ashy, with a persistent briny trail and a sweet note on the finish.
